It seems that on the first day of the presidential elections (Monday) the voter turnout was so low, the Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab declared the second day (Tuesday) an official holiday - a non-working day for all of the public sector. Then, yesterday afternoon, the electoral commission was still not satisfied with the turnout and decided to extend the elections by another day (a move criticized by both Sabahi, who went so far as to undermine the legitimacy of the whole process, and Sisi's campaign)! Meanwhile, happy Sisi supporters were celebrating already last night and Egyptian flags went on sale again all over the Corniche. Welcome to Egypt! Ahlan, ahlan ya gamileen!
